Many of us yearn to experience an open, uncomplicated exchange with another human being. In we-space practice, we stay with the depth of the present moment, sharing the subtle experiences of peace, warmth and inclusion that arise as we sit together without expectations.
A we-space conversation is an island of presence. It is an eyes-open, present-moment experience, done with another person. We sit together, paying attention to our own experience, and what arises because we are together. We speak to one another about our experience, and listen openly to each other, giving ourselves the opportunity to be present to everything that arises, with a focus on warmth, connection, acceptance, respect. It is a space of receptivity.
We root down into our experience in the now, in our bodies, our hearts, ourselves as an energetic field. We let our minds and our expectations take a back seat as we stay present together, allowing Life to move through us, unfolding the experiences that bring us joyfully home. We do this in pairs. We speak and we listen from stillness, without censor, letting the background become the foreground. We lean in together, feeling potency of the space between ourselves. We let words emerge as symbols for what is being experienced, while focusing on the experience itself. I have found we-space practice to be a deeply supportive vehicle for moving into the next phase of our evolution as consciously interconnected beings.
I invite you to learn to do less and feel more, in a practice that is intimate and vulnerable, yet surprisingly and deeply nourishing. The simplicity of being with what is here now, together, opens us to surprising depth and spaciousness.
